School Rules

  • Each student must carry his daily diary and wear identity card to school every day.
  • A students should fix his/her & parents photograph and write the required information, duly signed by the parents, in the space provided for in the diary.
  • Students should reach the school before school timings. Care should be taken to ensure they do not reach very early when the school is empty.
  • Changing of classrooms between periods should be done in an orderly manner and silently. Students should not unnecessarily leave their class at the end of every period.
  • Students should be habitually clean and always neatly dressed. The school uniform should be worm on all working days and for all school functions. Students who are slovenly dressed or not in uniform will be sent home. Use of hair gel is not allowed. Wearing waist trousers and very short skirts is forbidden.
  • All boys (except Sikhs) must keep their hair short. Girls must tie hair neatly with maroon band.
  • No books (other than text books or library books), magazine or paper should be brought to the school.
  • Lending or borrowing of money or other articles is not allowed.
  • Students who come to school escorted should never leave before the escort arrives. In case of delay, they should report to the school office.
  • The school does not allow any student to use scooter or car. If anything untoward happens, parents will be held responsible.
  • Punctuality is essential and students must report to school on time. Strict action will be taken against students who come late to school more than 3 times in a month.
  • Students cannot leave the school premises during school hours or without the written permission from the principal.
  • Parents are responsible for their child’s behavior, conduct and action in the school or on tours, trips, outing. Any kind of risk involved will not be blamed on the school management.
  • Students should not use unfair means in the examination.
  • Students should get their progress report and unit test record signed by their guardians within two days of receipt.
  • Parents are requested to inform the school if there is any change in their address and telephone numbers.
  • Students are not allowed to use the school telephone. They will not be called to answer phone calls during class hours.
  • Office bearers must wear their respective badges daily.
  • The school does not permit the celebration of birthdays or festivals on the school campus. Parents are advised not to send sweets, gifts etc. with children for celebration of birthdays. Exchange of gifts is not allowed. Birthday bumps are a punishable offence.
  • The school insists care must be taken to observe the ‘green rules’ in order to maintain clean, green surroundings. The school premises should not be littered with disposal tumblers, papers or wrappers.
  • Students are expected to respect school property. No students should damage any school furniture, write or draw anything on the walls or in any way damage things belonging to others. Any school property damaged even by accident should be reported at once to the class teacher or HOD.
  • Students are not allowed to bring whitener or any sharp instruments such as cutters, blades, scissors, knives etc or any kind of object that can cause injury to others.
  • Students are advised to keep their class room, school buildings and campus as clean as possible, and throw leftovers into the dustbins.
  • The school is not responsible for goods lost. It is not advisable to bring valuable articles like expensive watches or fountain pens or any wear jewellery to the school.
  • Fees should be paid by cheque /pay order within the stipulated time.
  • No student shall indulge in any of the following practices, namely:
    • Writing on the shirts or uniform.
    • Spitting in or near the school building.
    • Smoking.
    • Any form of gambling.+
    • Use of drugs or intoxicants, except on prescription by a registered medical practitioner.
    • Rowdyism, rude behavior & bullying.
    • Use of violence in any form.
    • Casteism, communalism or untouchability.
    • Bursting crackers or throwing colour on one another/ or painting faces within the school premises.
    • Under no condition is a student permitted to bring a mobile telephone to the school. If confiscated, it will not be returned.
  • No student is allowed to visit any of the kiosks situated outside the school, and if found doing so, he will be subjected to punishment.
  • Students should not join other students in violent, destructive activities.
  • Students should not instigate other co-students or juniors to indulge in any misbehavior or any form of anti school activity which will bring disrepute to the school.
  • Students should not boycott the orders, directions and instructions given to them by the school authorities.
  • Students using unfair means during examination will face disciplinary action as decided by the school authorities.
  • A student should not cooperate or indulge in any act of violence committed by other students which will harm any student physically and mentally.
  • Students will not do anything to disturb the principles and norms of school discipline.
  • Students should not use social sites to tarnish / vent out harsh feelings for any students.
  • The school does not arrange for any parties outside the school. For all activities/outings parents are informed or confirmation is taken from the parents.
  • Unite test will be held on the dates decided. Tuesday is the day allotted for Unit Test. Students absent for unite test will be marked absent.
  • On every Second Saturday the school remains closed.

Withdrawal

  • If a child has to be withdrawn from school, parents are requested to give one calendar month’s notice in writing, failing which , one month’s fee will be charged in lieu thereof.

Attendance

  • It is compulsory for all students to complete 75% attendance before every exam to make them eligible to it for the examination. In case attendance is short, students will not be eligible for promotion/ any academic award.
  • Repeated absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than ten consecutive days renders the student liable to have his/her name struck off the roll; readmission may be granted only on basis of school norms.
  • All children are expected to attend school on the opening day after every vacation and must be present before closing for the vacation. Those absent because of sickness must present a medical certificate within 3 days of absence through Fax, a representative or School Website.
  • A child returning to school after suffering from an infectious or contagious disease should produce a fitness certificate from a doctor.
  • Students suffering from any infection diseases must observe the prescribed period of quarantine before returning to class.
